In this post I show how I tried to buy tickets at www.airbaltic.lv. It's not just an usability problem, it's more like fraud...

Sadomāju februārī pavadīt nedēļas nogali Viļņā un airBaltic.lv izvēlējos aptuvenās dienas abiem virzieniem:

I had an idea to spend a nice February weekend in Vilnius. And I chose approximate days in airBaltic.lv for both directions:

Tā kā par atceļu viss bija pilnīgi skaidrs, jo pirmdien jābūt darbā, - pirmais daudzmaz ņemamās cenas reiss, ko arī izvēlējos:

Neredzat problēmu? Tas, ka cena gandrīz dubultojas no nodokļiem un te vēl nav pieminēta maksa par bagāžu un maksa par maksāšanu ar karti, tiešām vēl ir sīkums.

Cann't see the problem? Really? Is it OK, that price almost doubles by adding taxes and there are not even mentioned charges like for luggage and for charging my credit card? Oh, yes it is OK - we have used to things like these.

Izlemju, ka turp lidošu sestdien un to arī ieķeksēju. Lūk arī problēma:

But here comes the pain. I need to get to Vilnius too and I chose the flight on Saturday. And voila!:

Lūk, tā ir cūcība!!! Varu dabūt turpceļu, par ekonomisko cenu, bet atpakaļceļa cena pēkšņi pati ir 10kāršojusies!!! Nekur nebija rakstīts, ka par "lētajām" cenām pieejamas biļetes tikai vienā virzienā!!! Sist un mērcēt!!!

Price for return flight is 10times than some seconds before!!! Could you imagine this?!? There was not written that "cheap" flights are avialable on one way only!!! Where all those EU controlling officers looking???

Just info:
1) currency LVL (Latvian Lats) shown with prices: 1 LVL = 1 GBP = 2 USD;
2) airBaltic is so called "Latvian" flight operator;
3) Riga is capital of Latvia and Vilnius is capital of Lithuania. Latvia and Lithuania are quite small countries (having a common border) in Eastern Europe.
