Good ideas from TED
Struggling with my blogs yesterday led to not writing about te good ideas seen in TED and merged with some of mine.
One of those was from http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/eng/rory_sutherland_life_lessons_from_an_ad_man... :
Those who have big budgets are looking for expensive solutions even there still are a lot of usability problems that might be solved in a very cheap way.
Now I see why Blogger and other sites of rich companies are not even trying to look and feel better for their users. They add a lot of expensive features and hope that people would like them for that. People are out of patiens befor they even see a half of the features! Very interesting point of view... to music. http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/eng/david_byrne_how_architecture_helped_music_e...
Author himself looked like a bird or a composer from 18th century. That was appropriate to the subject. There were discussions about building an expensive concert hall in Riga before the crisis. They promised to adopt it to classical music and to pop music. I knew that animals and birds adopt very well to their environment, but I nad not thought about their woices.
It is harder to understand human composers. Why? - They wrote their music not in a concert hall or an opera house, but mostly at home. How could they imagine, how their music will sound in a huge venue?
That might be the reason why praised classical music is a waste in a car. It makes sense now. Anyway notable way of thinking about music and environment. Worth remembering. Thanks!
